Every month it is time to renew yourself - especially within social media.

Upcoming editorial for Valerie Khalfon is a Roman / Greek Garden party (which somehow takes place in Paris). Yes, the imagination has to run wild. Not much unlike the weather in Paris at the moment. We have thunderstorms every day. To get the shots below, it took days of guessing, cancelling and deliberating - until we hit jackpot.

Next stop?

Malta. 

And I can't wait! Some change of scenery, drinks with old friends, and maximum one photoshoot, or maybe two...

From Paris to the Maltese Islands - and back again...

As much as I love the pulsing city life of Paris - the rock - remains a special place in my heart.  When I decided to leave Malta - I convinced a family member to move to the island instead. This comes very handy when you have to shoot a spring collection, and it is minus degrees outside. And so I packed two huge suitcases with Goa Paris latest designs. This must be the first time I've travelled and only packed minimum essentials when it came to my own wardrobe. The style of the clothes oozes with decadence and the perfect holiday vibe - not much unlike the Maltese lifestyle. Voilà! The result came great. The photos will be featured on Goa Paris Instagram - along with my other work. It's a digital world - indeed.

She is a 90's babysitter...

It's so much more fun to shoot when you make up a lil' story in your head of who you are in the picture:

She is a 90's babysitter trying on the mother's costume jewellery when the parents are away. She eats crap from the fridge after smoking some pot in the attic with her boyfriend - while the kid plays Mortal Kombat in the living room. There's a different outfit for every day she comes to babysit. The girl and the boyfriend find an old camera and start playing around for kicks. The boyfriend inevitably gets a kick out of it even - though he sees her as a stereotypical narcissist. His name is Larry, and he later uses the pictures for his special alone times. So, after day 7, the parents come home to a house filled with the smell of weed and their dining room scattered with wine bottles and pork bones. The girl and Larry are passed out on the linoleum floor - both wearing the mom's precious costume jewellery. The parents throw a tantrum. They even threaten to call the police and chuck the teenagers out on the street. Since the angry parents ruined her reputation as a babysitter to the entire neighbourhood, the girl has to find another way of making some extra money. She later becomes a supermodel by sending the photos Larry took of her -  to French Vogue.

Most of the content writing is on hold for now. Future texts will hopefully and solely be of my own choosing. Instead, I'm out on the streets with my camera most days - the streets of Paris. For summer, however, the dream is to sip something strong on a remote beach while typing on an old typewriting machine....

So I'm swamped with work at the moment. Weekdays I write, write, write, and learn a hell of a lot new things. Weekends are full of photoshoots (hopefully a December cover) and (editing jobs I haven't even had time to look at yet) Above are photos of artwork I wouldn't mind decorating my new seafront apartment with, that I get access to in February.
